Training

 

Corporate Investigation Services is committed to providing our clients with investigators whose experience and expertise is unsurpassed in the industry.

Each year Corporate Investigation Services has staff attend various training programs. We feel it is important to continuously develop our staff in the latest techniques.

 

Investigative Training

Four weeks of paid in-field training with senior investigators is conducted prior to commencing any assignment. This training is in conjunction with a prerequisite for hire of a minimum of five years investigative or policing experience.
Additional training includes:

  • John Reid (Advanced Interviewing and Interrogations)
  • Laboratory for Scientific Interrogation (LSI-SCAN statement analysis)
  • Scope Inc. (Physical Surveillance)
  • Human Potential (Investigative/Surveillance Skills) Undercover Training

Along with training and experience, it is extremely important to have the proper tools. Each investigator is fully equipped with the most modern communication and video equipment.

 

Protection Staff Training

Our goal is to train and test members of our protection team under ideal and severe conditions. All protection team members receive training in the following areas:

  • First Aid
  • Tactical Communications
  • Evidence Gathering (Video)
  • Evidence Gathering (Reporting and Documentation)
  • Powers of Arrest
  • Use of Force
  • Criminal Code
  • Injunction Requirements
  • Leadership Training
  • Executive/Family Protection
  • Plant Occupation (Protection Strategies)
  • Crowd Psychology
  • Assault on team member (Formation and extraction techniques)
  • Assault on management (Formation and extraction techniques)

All training is a combination of theory and practical exercises. Additionally, we run live exercises where staff has to utilize training to deal with various scenarios. Along with training and experience, it is extremely important to have proper tools. Each investigator is fully equipped with the latest video equipment.

In addition to this, CIS has invested in various specialized gear. Our staff has access to low light video equipment, night vision scopes and headgear, to mention a few.
